End of Year Circular

End of Year Circular (All learners)

Circular 14/ 2021 25-11-2021 Dear Parent and learner,

We have come to the end of what has been an extremely demanding, taxing, disrupted  and stressful year as we continue to battle with the impact of Covid-19 on our country. At  the forefront, we thank the Almighty God for getting us this far. This month the significant  spike in Covid-19 numbers has once again indicated the severity of the pandemic. A huge  vote of thanks and appreciation to the Jeppe management and Staff for the enormous  amount of work done in ensuring that all activities school related, academic, and  otherwise for the 2021 calendar year are accomplished amidst uncertainty.

It is amazing to note how much has been achieved in this year. We look back with a lot of  pride and gratitude at our children’s growth and achievements. They have worked so hard,  taking new challenges in stride, and showing perseverance in all their undertakings.

I want to thank each child in our primary school section for all the warmth, the memories,  and the learning that we have shared this school year. We have all grown together and a  little bit of each one of them will always be with us. We celebrate them for maintaining  the excitement and finishing the year strong. Thank you, parents, for entrusting us with  these wonderful children and for working in partnership with us to ensure that they are  achieving their best. It has been our joy seeing them blossom in the various fields

academically, socially, in sports and in many areas. We are incredibly proud of all of them  for making our work so worthwhile. As we send them off to the next grade, we are  confident that they are going to continue excelling. As we break off for the long holidays,  we urge you to give your child a chance to show you how responsible he/she has become  by allowing him/her to help with chores around the house.

Our esteemed parents, I would like to thank you once more all for your continuous  support towards the school. Without us working together we couldn’t have achieved so  much. We are incredibly impressed with all your efforts to engage in these difficult times. We do realise that it is extremely unsettling for both you, and more importantly, the  learners and we have continued to ensure that we have always done what is ultimately  best for them.

Furthermore, I say THANK YOU for allowing us to teach your children. We are truly  grateful for your continued faith in us.

Our G12 Candidates, I would like to congratulate the Matric class of 2021 upon their near  completion of their NSC 2021 exams. Congratulations! We pray that they excel to the best  of their desires.

As it is my norm, in the end of year message, I would like to highlight key notes worth  making mention of:

End of school year (closing): 2021 despite being draining emotionally, it has been an  exciting and rewarding year for your children full of new learning experiences in not only  academic but socio-economic as well. As a school, school management, the board of  directors, the teachers, and general staff, we have done our best to deliver on our mandate  not limited to educating the minds of the young males and females in our care but  nurturing them as well. Thus, Jeppe Education Centre academic year officially ends on 15th December 2021.

Opening of 2022 academic year: The school will open for classes on the 12 of January  2022. Note: Registrations and readmissions should happen between now and the  10th of January 2022.

Issuing of academic progress reports: End of year promotional Reports will be issued  out between Monday 13th and the 18th of December 2021. Only Parents, guardians and or care givers will be issued with the reports on these days.

School Fees. I again appeal to all parents to pay the outstanding school fees to enable  us to continue to provide an uncompromised educational service to your children. Please  make paying school fees a priority.

NOTE: The school fees for 2022 have changed and the new fees structure can be  obtained from our registration office on third floor, or as will be indicated on your  end of year report card.

Readmission requirements for 2022. It is our school policy that every child is readmitted  into our school system for the following year. Thus, all learners are required to pay a  readmission fee of R 500. Readmission forms can be obtained in our marketing office on  third floor or at the reception, these should be completed and signed by parents and  returned to school by the 10th of January 2022.

It is also vital that every learner gets a list of next years’ school requirements as well as fees  changes from their class teachers to prepare for 2022 well in time.

Jeppe Education Grade R graduation day: we have organized a Graduation ceremony  on 27th of November 2021 in the school Hall at 9 am, for our Grade R pupils, thus parents  are welcome to join us on this auspicious occasion. On the same occasion the school will  host a momentous band tour around the Johannesburg CBD, everyone is asked to join  our memorabilia and be part of history.

Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Despite the disturbances bred in by Covid 19, the last two quarters of the year, have seen a plethora of activities that sought to  develop pupil’s talents and skills, among which, educational and fun trips, beauty contests,  debate competitions, talent shows, to mention but a few. It has been awesome witnessing  the confidence, sense of responsibility and learners enjoying success.

Appeals against promotion decisions: Any learners or parents who would like to appeal  against the promotion decision, are urged to do so after receiving their end of year  progress report, you are given until 10th of January 2022. The appeals outcome will  however be communicated to affected individuals by the 14th of January 2022. Appeals  should be submitted to the deputy principal.

Finally, yet importantly, I would like to thank everyone for the dedication and effort put  together to make this academic year a success. I wish you all a restful summer break! Working together as a team is a strength that has enabled us to accomplish so much.

We wish you a wonderful and restful December season.

Yours Sincerely,

Principal- Jeppe Education Centre.
